Research and Campaigns
Research & Campaigns work is one of the twin aims of Citizens Advice and undertaken by every Citizens Advice office in the country. As we regularly see clients they are telling us what is going on in their situations and what they would like to see changed.

We collect evidence and statistics anonymously. We use this information to produce reports and to campaign locally and nationally for improvements in services and in the law.
We can use this insight and data to do several things:
- Aid us in researching issues further
- Influence decision makers to change policies and practices
- Campaign to get decision makers to change policies and practices
In practice this is demonstrated by:
- Highlighting issues to MPs, Assembly Members, Councillors and other policy makers.
- Talking to our local Council about their services and attending forums and meetings.
- Discussing problems with organisations and companies to persuade them to improve their services.
- Campaigning on social issues, such as availability of NHS dentists, better transport and banking facilities.
What is happening locally?
